About GOAT Lab

GOAT Lab is a free, browser-based collection of 28 tools and references for science, engineering, and software development. Everything runs entirely in your browser — there is nothing to install and no account to create.

What you can do here

GOAT Lab brings together unit and format conversion, chemistry, physics, engineering and statistics references, developer utilities, a world atlas, and a range of everyday and professional calculators. Each tool is a focused, self-contained app reachable from the hub in five languages (English, 日本語, Español, 中文, Deutsch).

Our principles

• Free and open to everyone. No sign-up, no paywall, no usage limits.
• Privacy-friendly. The site is fully static — we do not run accounts or user profiles; the only analytics we use is anonymized, aggregate usage data (Google Analytics 4), gated behind consent in the EEA, UK, and Switzerland. Your preferences (theme and language) stay on your device.
• Runs in your browser. Every calculation happens on your device — nothing you type is uploaded. OmniConvert, EverydayLifestyle, and AstroRef also cache themselves and keep working with no connection; the other tools need a connection to load the page.
• Fast and lightweight. Static pages load instantly and never lock you into a single device.

Students, engineers, developers, makers, and anyone who needs a quick, reliable answer or conversion without the friction of ads-first calculator sites. Reference values are drawn from standard sources; for safety-critical or professional decisions, always verify against the authoritative source.

How it's funded

GOAT Lab currently carries no advertising, sponsorships, or affiliate links, and nothing on it is for sale; it is run at the maintainers' own cost. Advertising may be introduced later so the tools can stay free — if it is, this page and the Privacy Policy will say so before it appears.
