What is Paper Search Hub?

Paper Search Hub is a free, static reference tool for finding scholarly venues. It indexes 30,479 journals from a title and ISO-4 abbreviation index, plus a curated set of 381 journals and 137 conferences — real venues like Nature, Science, and NeurIPS — each with metrics such as Impact Factor and CORE rank.

How does it work?

All data ships as static JSON with the site. The 542-entry curated catalogue is bundled with the app and renders immediately; a 30,479-entry journal index is then fetched once from the same site and merged in. Search matches the venue name and its abbreviation — substring, case-insensitive, full-width normalized, diacritics stripped (Schrödinger matches schrodinger).

When should I use it?

Use it to look up a journal's Impact Factor, ISSN, or publisher; check a conference's CORE rank, acceptance rate, or founding year; or compare venues across a field. It works offline once loaded and never sends your queries anywhere, so it suits private literature scouting and venue selection.

30,997 venues in total: 30,860 journals and 137 conferences. Most journals come from a 30,479-entry title and ISO-4 abbreviation index; on top of it sits a curated set of 381 journals and 137 conferences with fuller metadata, including Nature, Science, and NeurIPS.

What metrics does each entry show?

Journals show the ISO-4 abbreviation, ISSN, publisher, subject fields, and founding year; Impact Factor appears on the 200 curated journals with a published value. Conferences show CORE rank (A*, A, B, C), organizer, and frequency, with h-index and acceptance rate on 12 of them.

Does it send my searches to a server?
